1) Prior to week 11's presentation, what was your knowledge of Afro-Mexican culture?

2) What is minstrelsy? 

What are some less obvious (or "coded") ways that media in the United States continues to propagate negative stereotypes of African Americans?
Can you think of any examples of minstrelsy applied to other cultures in which, for example, white actors portray Asian, Latinx, or other ethnic groups with broad negative stereotypes?  Voice acting for cartoons count as well.  You may post video links of your examples for analysis.

Race and the media is a subject which affects all of us, in both the ways in which we view people of differing backgrounds in our community, and the ways in which we view ourselves.
