Note: Indigenous Religions

Indigenous religions are vast in number and vary greatly in different  regions of the world. Animism, Pantheism, and Shamanism are just three  examples of indigenous religions. These religions place great importance  on ancestors and oral tradition. They look more to leadership within  the religious community to provide guidance, rather than religious texts  like many Western Religions. For this assessment, you will consider  what you have explored in this Competency related to rituals,  connections between the material and spiritual worlds, and the  importance of oral traditions.
