• High crime rates
The Sunnyside community in South Houston is a socioeconomically disadvantaged community with high crime rates. Research has shown that most of the residents in the Sunnyside community do not have the freedom to move freely within the society owing to the theft cases and shootings in the neighborhood that characterizes the area (News Story, 2019). Residents are therefore anxious most of the time due to a RUA Presentation lack of safety and security.
• Trash around the parking lot
The parking lot in Sunnyside South Houston Community is often filled with trash, which can be a problem for residents. There are several reasons why this may be the case, including the fact that there is no designated garbage receptacle in the parking lot and that residents may not have access to garbage cans in their homes. As a result, residents may be forced to leave their trash in the parking lot, which can attract vermin and create a health hazard. In addition, the parking lot may be used as a dumping ground for household garbage, as it is often easier and cheaper to dispose of waste in this way. According to Newman et al. (2022), poor landscaping and the difficulty in controlling the stormy water runoff may also be attributed to the problem of trash in the parking lot.
• High incidence of chronic disease
The community has a high incidence of chronic diseases, including diabetes, hypertension, and obesity. In addition, there have been increased cases of asthma among the residents in the community (Newman et al., 2022).
• Increased incidences of substance abuse
Substance abuse is a significant problem in Sunnyside, as per the research at Rice University, with RUA Presentation a prevalence of 15% (Newman et al. 2022). Alcohol abuse is the most common form of substance abuse, followed by tobacco use. Drug abuse, including the use of illegal drugs, is also a problem in the community. Substance abuse is a significant problem in the community, which can contribute to several health problems, including addiction and overdose.
• High rates of mental disorders.
Mental health disorders are a significant health concern in Sunnyside. According to Duffecy et al. (2022), in their research in the Sunnyside community, one of the severe mental conditions is the problem of Postpartum depression.

• High poverty rates and homelessness
The high poverty indices could be attributed to the high crime scenes in the community as people venture into criminal activities to earn a living and fight the ever-rising poverty among them. The criminal, therefore, deprives those with resources, making them poorer. The rise in homelessness may be due to increased domestic violence that makes spouses divorce and break already made homes.

Educating the individuals in the community on the effects of crime.
Creation of groups to check on each other to enhance trust relationships(Lewis, 2022).
Intervention strategy for trash in the parking lot

Inform the community of the need to keep the parking lots clean.
Increase the enforcement of littering laws in the parking lot.

Typically, forming solid foundations of trust relationships within the community sounds eminent in crime prevention. One of the interventions that would lower the rate of crimes in Sunnyside South Houston Community is the creation of trust among individuals in the community, including engaging the children in different affairs to avoid them being involved in criminal activities (Lewis, 2022).

Typically, one way to address the issue of trash in the parking lot would be to provide residents with access to garbage cans. The access could be availed to the residents by placing garbage cans in the parking lot or providing them with access to garbage cans in their homes (Newman et al., 2022). Another way to address the issue would be to inform the community about environmental conservation and increase the enforcement of littering laws in the parking lot by increasing fines for littering or increasing the number of patrols in the parking lot.

Engaging the victims in community tasks
Poverty and domestic violence strategies
Provision of a violence prevention program.
Provision of financial assistance programs to curb poverty in the community.
Creating awareness of the effects of domestic violence on the community.
Intervention for the health disorders in the community

Providing education on health and wellness to the community helps end the ever-increasing cases of chronic diseases (Healthy people 2020). Community health workers could provide health education to residents of Sunnyside South Houston on chronic disease prevention and management. The community health workers could also connect residents to resources and services, such as social services and financial assistance. Creating a community gardens program promotes healthy eating and food security and creates social capital. Community gardens provide residents access to fresh fruits and vegetables and can be used as places for community members to gather and socialize.
Substance abuse intervention strategies
• Offering rehabilitation and treatment to the victims of drug abuse (primary prevention).
• Provision of after-school training programs (secondary prevention).
• Engaging the victims in community tasks (tertiary prevention).
Poverty and domestic violence strategies
• Provision of a violence prevention program (primary prevention).
• Provision of financial assistance programs to curb poverty in the community (secondary prevention).
• Creating awareness of the effects of domestic violence on the community (tertiary prevention).
Violence prevention programs can address the underlying causes of domestic violence and provide support to residents or spouses who have been affected by violence.
