Family Interview PlanNURSING

In the space below, describe your plan for interviewing and performing a Family Assessment. First, schedule an interview with the chosen family (This cannot be your family) and record that date and time. Explain the types of things you will be looking for and how you will record your observations. (Space will expand as you type.)

I have scheduled an interview with the O. family on February 28, 2020 at 4.15 pm at their residence at Crowley, the couple prefer a face to face interview.

When interviewing this family, I will ask questions to get information about their culture and religious beliefs, the religion and cultural beliefs of their parents, grandparents and great grandparents and if they use or observe any traditional beliefs during times of sickness. I will ask how different roles are performed in the family, the role of the husband and that of the wife. I will also ask them about their family health history, with that of their parents and grandparents and how they handle sickness and disease in the family, if they use or observe any traditional or religious beliefs during sickness. Do they have health insurance? I will use this opportunity to observe the unity within the family and their relationship with each other, the way they react and behave towards each other, and see their closeness as a family.

I will use the Friedman Family Assessment form to ask my questions and I will type the information provided to me by this family during the interview using my laptop and type my observations. I will call the family using their cell phone number if I need any more formation from them and also encourage them to call me to share any more information that they remember and that they forgot to share during the interview.

Please remember to send a thank-you note to the family you interview.NURSING
