China was not left behind either as it increased it tariff on sixty billion dollars of American goods. 3. Adverse Effects on the American Economy

The trade war between these two countries has had significant effects on the economy. According to Bloomberg Economics, the trade conflict would cost the US at least $316 billion to come to the termination of 2020. The use of tariffs by the US has seen some of the largest US companies count their losses in the stock market with a cumulation of about $1.7 trillion lost in the companies’ stock prices.
