Select a health care organization in your community to conduct an interview with an appropriate risk management employee. The organization can be your current employer, or a different health care facility in your community. Acute care, urgent care, large multi-provider private medical clinics, assisted living facilities, and community/public health clinical facilities are all ideal options to complete the requirements of this assignment. Make sure to select an individual who can provide sufficient information regarding how that organization manages risk within its facility to answer the questions below.

In your interview, address the following:

1. Identification of the challenges the organization faces in controlling infectious diseases.

2. Risk management strategies used in the organization’s infection control program, along with specific examples.

3. How the facility’s educational risk management program addresses key professional issues, such as prevention of negligence, malpractice litigation, and vicarious liability.

4. Policies the facility has implemented that address managing emergency triage in high-risk areas of health care service delivery.

5. Strategies the facility utilizes to monitor and maintain its risk management program.

Post-interview, compose a 750-1,000 word summary analysis of the interview to include the questions above as well as the following elements:

1. A brief assessment of the organization’s risk management program, including what works well and what could work better (the pros and cons).

2. Action steps you would take to improve the program. Select one area and provide your rationale and possible steps required to implement your suggestion.

Cite appropriate references as needed to support your statements and rationale.

1.  Go to http://www.healthypeople.gov/2020/default.aspx and review the Healthy People 2020 initiative.  Pay close attention to the objectives, goals and the indicators.

2.  Using the Hialeah public health department (33012) identify an epidemiological and surveillance data related to population based communicable illnesses (Influenza, Sexually Transmitted Diseases and Tuberculosis). 

4. Prepare an analysis discussing how these 3-communicable illnesses affect your community and how they were identified and a plan of action to contained them base on healthy people 2020.

5.  Presentation must be in APA format word document, Arial 12 font with a minimum of 1000 words (excluding first and references page) with a minimum of 3 evidence based references (excluding the class textbook) no older than 5 years are required.  The assignment must include the zip code of the city or county chosen. Hyperlipidemia and Related Disorders

One of the topics that are covered in Unit VI is hyperlipidemia and related disorders. Hyperlipidemia is a condition that is characterized by an increase in the plasma cholesterol or triglycerides containing lipoprotein particles. In this Article Critique, using the CSU Online Library, you will select an article that discusses recent research updates and/or findings on the management of hyperlipidemia. The article should be between three-five years of publication.

Your critique of the article should include the following:

 An introduction

 A summary of the article’s main research findings or main points

 What is the author(s) intended audience?

 Discuss of whether the article contributes to the current knowledge of the management/treatment of

hyperlipidemia

 Future directions for research (if any are indicated)

 A paragraph on what you learned from the article that were previously unaware

Term Paper Outline and References

During this module, you are required to outline your Term Paper based on the references you have found to date and what you wish to write about. Leaders who are positive in their actions coach, delegate, and share recognition. Read the following scenarios and answer the questions given in each scenario.

Scenario A

Consider a time when you had the experience of being led by someone who was able to get you to achieve more than you thought you could. Based on what you learned about leadership styles, describe events examining how your selected leader worked by certain principles. In addition, report details of an event demonstrating how you were led to perform.

Scenario B

Now, recall a time when you were led by someone who could not motivate you. Describe events pointing out how your selected leader’s working style made subordinates feel uncomfortable .

On the basis of the Leadership Styles Scenario A, answer the following questions:

• What style did the leader exhibit? Describe events pointing out how your selected leader worked by certain principles.
• Report details of the scenario demonstrating how you were led to perform.
• How did you improve your overall attitude and motivation based on a supportive leader?
• How does working in a positive organization with supportive leadership encourage staff performance at work each day?
• What leadership skills will you take from your positive experience and use when you are in a leadership position?

On the basis of the Leadership Styles Scenario B, answer the following questions:

• What style did the leader exhibit? Describe events pointing out your selected leader’s leadership style.
